Magnum continues to improve. Today when Steve and Kurt brought him in they said he wasn't limping at all! Also he lifted his "good" leg to potty and put his full weight on the repaired one. When he got to the entryway at the top of the ramp he started going after the sling so I think he is feeling better all the time and *he* is more than ready to take off. We have 5 more weeks of confinement before we can take slow leash walks though. I know all this work and aggravation will be very worth the reward in the end of watching him run and play. Two months compared to his lifetime is a small price to pay. Tomorrow is our 3 week mark. We will be 3 weeks post TPLO tomorrow. I can't believe how fast it has gone. Tuesday, May 8th, we go in for our 4 week x-rays and I will ask about letting him have a whole room again. Magnum's success story is up on LABMED's site. It's a very nice writeup with pictures. We're almost halfway there, big guy, hang in there and soon you'll be chasing duckies on the lake, swimming and running around the yard with the kids! Can't wait til that day. Thank you Lord, for Your care over us this far. |
