Yesterday Magnum got his 4 week x-rays. The Dr. was pleased with him and all the hardware is stable. Yeah!!

I am amazed at how well he is doing considering all the arthritis and muscle atrophy in the leg. No jumping yet. He can start swimming but we have to figure out how to get him in the water. He can't run in or dive in so we have to get him out deep enough and lower him in or something. I was thinking about double slinging him and walking out with him. That, of course, means I have to go out too and the water isn't real warm yet. :-p

No leash walks yet. He said we'll talk about that next time. I had to pay for the x-rays which I didn't know. I thought it was part of the package. I wish they would have told me ahead of time. We were walking out the door and the girl behind the desk is calling after us, who is taking care of the bill today? I'm like, there's a bill today? So we paid the bill. Good thing this is the month Steve has an extra check.

We go back next month at 8 weeks for more x-rays. Can't wait to get to the 8 week mark. There is a counter on the links page that is counting down the days until we are 2 months post TPLO.

He is very stinky today. I don't know what it is about the sedative but it always makes him gassy. He is also limping more today. I'm thinking maybe because of the way they moved his leg yesterday to check range of motion and get the x-rays. Other than that, he is good. He hasn't pooped today. That seems to be how the sedative affects him. I really wish he would. He is stinkin' us out of the house!! :-P
