This delightfully eerie game starts off with Luigi, the hero of this story, moving towards a spooky mansion. In his hand is a map, sent to him by a mysterious contest runner, who informed of his win. A baffled Luigi calls Mario and tells him excitedly of his win, and then hurries to check it out. However, the celebration is short-lived, as to his horror Luigi finds that his dream mansion is filled with... GHOSTS!!! Befriending an old professor who goes by the name of Elvin Gadd, he searches the mansion for his brother, armed only with the trusty Poltergust 3000, Professor Gadd's creation for turning Luigi into a professional ghostbuster. Join Luigi in the quest to free his brother and help Professor Gadd find his beloved portrait ghosts.
