| Directory | George and Margaret met while attending Bethany College of the Assemblies
of God in Scotts Valley, CA and married a year before George graduated.
After his graduation, they moved to Waxahachie, TX where Margaret finished
her degree at Southwestern Assemblies of God University. We moved
to Sacramento, CA in 1996, and then to where we are currently living in
1998.
Both of us are teachers by trade- George prefering to work with high school students and Margaret with upper elementary. George has worked as a substitute in the public schools around the Waxahachie area, and then as the "full time" substitute at Capital Christian High School in Sacramento, Ca. (Yes, it is true that Nate Cole of Plus One fame was one of the students there that George knew pretty well. Nate's dad is pastor of the church that runs the school) For the last 3 years George has mostly been a stay at home dad for our two children, while also youth pastoring, then working in a Christian bookstore. George has also been active working in various other aspects of our current church. Margaret has been teaching at El Rio Elementary school in Oxnard for the last 3 years, as well as leading Children's Church at Evangelistic Center. She has thoroughly enjoyed both positions and is already complaining about missing "her kids" when we move. Amber is 5 years old and in her first year of school. She loves kindergarten and is making quick friends. Joseph is 4 and quite jealous of his sister being in school while he is still at home. Both are looking forward to moving next summer and being able to see again some of the friends they made when we were at orientation last July. |
