Bamberg is located just an hour away from Schweinfurt.

Below is the Maxplatz, the largest square in town, named after King Max I of Bavaria. The square is dominated by the Baroque front of the New Town Hall, that was built, actually as a priests' seminary. The Bamberg market is mainly a vegetable market thanks to the large number of market-gardeners the town still has.
Next is St. Martin's, the former university church (now parish church), commissioned by the Jesuilts and built from 1686-1693 |
