Mrs. Lavada Black

    EASLEY, May 8. -- Mrs. Lavada Black, 31, wife of McDuffie M. Black, died at her home, Easley, route 2, at 1 o'clock this morning following a brief illness.
     She is survived by ther husband, seven children: Clint, Eunice, Ruth, Rufus, Ethelene, Homer and Clarence Black; six brothers, W.L.,  L.N., L.A., J.L., H.L., and L.E. Gilbert; four sisters, Misses Lassie, Lois and Lola Gilbert and Mrs. L.T. Hall, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Gilbert.
     Funeral services will be conducted from Zion Methodist church Thrusday morning at 11 o'clock by the Rev. Charlie Williamson.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
     Pallbearers will be: Ernest and Lewis Underwood, Jack and Dave Raney, Clarence Finley and Lang Griffin.
