LIBERTY. May 14 -- Mrs. Rachel I. Gilbert, 54, wife of J. E. Gilbert, died at her home in Easley at an early hour this morning following several months of declining health.
She is survived by her husband, six sons, W. L., L. N., L. A., J. L., H. L., and L. E. Gilbert; four daughters, Misses Lassie, Lois and Lola Gilbert and Mrs. Laura Hall; her father E. C. Denton; one brother, W. H. Denton, and one sister, Mrs Sarah Chastain.
Funeral services will be conducted from Zion Methodist Church about three miles south of Easley Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock by the Rev. C. E. Williamson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
* note - Mrs. Rachel Gilbert has been moved from Zion Methodist Church Cemetery to Greenlawn Cemetery in Easley.
