As 2005 winds down to a close, and as 2006 starts anew, the Gillig Transit Coach/Pacific SchoolCoach Resource will also set a new mark. In addition to celebrating five years on the internet, there are also going to be some changes coming to the Gilllig Transit Coach/Pacific SchoolCoach Resource.

In the next few months, this website will undergo some major facelifting. One of the major parts of the upcoming facelift will be a whole new look. You can expect a totally new look for the GTCA. A new logo, new user interface and a streamlined look for all pages will be a major part of this new look.

In addition, I am also buying the domain name for this website so that users can remember a more simple web address.  The exact domain name has not been chosen nor selected yet, but it will be much easier to remember and type into a web browser than the current
http://www.oocities.org/gilligcoaches/ address used currently.

Also, you may be wondering where I have been lately. I pretty much took a break from the hobby after learning that Shelton had retired the last of their Gilligs(and later learning that their last was in mothballs for about two years), and after I had to face the reality that I no longer own a retired Gillig school bus.  In addition, several setbacks with my internet connection at home have taken much of my time away from the website. I have also been unable to secure a replacement Gillig, and finances haven't been all that great lately. But, with a new job I hope to be getting soon (I'll definitely keep you posted about that as well), finances will greatly improve and I'll once again be able to work on this website a little more and then buy a replacement Gillig.

I also decided to take on a new hobby.  The new hobby I decided to participate in was the world of flying, and the world of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 (or Flight Simulator 9, as it's now being referred to). I am now one of many successful scenery developers for Flight Simulator and as of this writing, I am working on a near-statewide scenery package for Washington State. Many of my files for Flight Simulator can be found at the following websites.
AVSIM, Hovercontrol, and Simviation.  If you are into Flight Simulator, then I'm sure the files I've uploaded will be of great enjoyment. To date, my most famous and most popular package is the Mount St. Helens Scenery package avalable exclusively on AVSIM's file library. Search for "Steven Rosenow" (free registration for file library access is required), and it'll be under the title "Mount St. Helens Scenery package" and has four separate files available for download.

Keep an eye out, or "Stay Tuned" if you will, to these pages in the coming months.
