Stamford Programme Editor Robin Peel Stamford 1 Hastings United 0 I thought that you were unlucky. In the first half in particular, Stamford were awful and most of the attractive football was played by Hastings. You certainly deserved a point at least. The turning point was obviously the goal and the hesitation from the keeper on the edge of the box. I thought, even that early, that the game had 0-0 written all over it!! I thought that Hastings performed well but looked better going forward than they did in defence. Stamford struggled all afternoon, but their second half performance was at least better than their first half showing. Men of the Match? I would say that it would be hard to pick a Stamford player but I thought that Andy Peaks had a good game in defence. For Hastings, a big sub came on in the second half (number 14 I think) and he seemed to cause us more problems than anyone else. I can't see Hastings finishing in the bottom two come May and hopefully one or two results will spark a decent run for you in the Spring. We don't want to see the likes of Hastings at the bottom for too long!! |
