Most of these recipes are simple no-brainers, but they are brand specific. I’m not a fancy cook, and I don’t like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen or a lot of time in the grocery store. I cook but sense of instinct and intuition.

Rose Tea

Red Rose © brand Orange Pekoe and Pekoe cut Black Tea, not the decaffeinated kind. Other brands will work, but I’ve found not as well

Golden Blossom © brand honey for best result, or any other will do.

You’ll need a stainless steel pot that will hold four cups of boiling water, scissors, and a stop watch or watch with a second hand, a measuring cup, and a mug.

A sliver of celery (a 1/3 inch or less), some ginkgo leaves, and some rose hips are optional ingredients to be added to the boiling water.

Put exactly four cups of water, five tea bags (use the scissors to cut off the strings), the optional ingredients as desired, on the stove and bring it to a rolling boil. At the exact moment it comes to a rolling boil start the stopwatch or take note of the very second on the watch. Let the brew boil for exactly five minutes to the second. Take the pot off the burner. Exactly five minutes later (to the second) pour your first cup. To get the honey full dissolved I recommend putting it in first, but watch that timing as the exactness is vital to the potency. I recommend an entire inch of honey the first go around, but later you may sweeten how you desire. Don’t add any lemon, as this is a very bitter tea. If prepared correctly this potion will have 125,000 blocks of pure white energy (elemental sprit or LVX) that will last for exactly seven hours. For Dragon kin this could also be called Breath Weapon tea.

Instant Spaghetti

Two packages of Maruchan Ramen noodles ©, any flavor. Other brands can be used, but I’ve found Maruchan the tastiest. Wal-Mart © brand is the same thing with different packaging.

Shop Rite © meatless spaghetti sauce or any brand of jarred marinara sauce.

Onion powder, garlic powder, and oregano.

            Parmesan cheese.

            Large microwaveable bowel.

Take the two packages of noodles and add them to the bowel, and throw away the seasoning packets, as they are not added to the mix. Fill bowel with the hottest tap water you can get. Microwave on high for ten minutes. Drain water completely, and add spices and sauce immediately. Cover in Parmesan to liking. Serve immediately. Serves one Evan.

Corn n’ Chips

Shop-Rite © Vac-Pac canned corn. This is brand specific, and doesn’t taste right with other brands.

Butter or substitute

Lays © Sour Cream and Onion Potato Chips. This too is brand specific, and doesn’t taste right with other brands.

Microwaveable bowel

Drain corn of all water, and put in bowel with1/8 stick of butter for every can. Microwave on high for three minutes. Use chips to eat corn with, like a fondue.

Mushrooms on toast

            One package of mushrooms

Four slices of toast or two bagels, sliced and untoasted

            1/8 stick of butter

            Frying pan

Melt butter in frying pan on low. I do not recommend using substitute. Add mushrooms, a few at a time. When all are finally added serve on toast or bagels.

Chocolate Death Pie

Two packages of Jell-O © Instant Devil’s Food Pudding.

            Three cups of 2% milk.

            Oreo piecrust by Nabisco

            Small tub of whipped cream.

            Mixing bowl and whisk.

Open the pie crust by folding pack the aluminum platter, and take out the plastic liner. Remove the label as when placed upside down this will be a lid. Pour the three cups of milk into the mixing bowl. As quickly as possible, add the pudding mixes and begin whipping. This flavor of pudding solidifies in a heartbeat and it is hard to avoid lumps. Pour into piecrust and top with cool whip. Chill for a half hour.

Chick-kets ©

            1 roll of thawed Chick-kets ©

            Bread Crumbs

            Heavy Whipping Cream

            Canola oil

            Steel frying pan

Slice roll of chick-kets 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Soak slices in cream and bread with crumbs. Brown in frying pan. The slices can be eaten plain, or make great sandwiches. Eggless mayonnaise and chick-kets can be found at health food stores, and some of the ultra light brands are also egg free.

Rice n’ Beans

1 box of Zatarain’s © dirty rice mix

            2 tablespoons of olive oil

            1 can of kidney beans

3/4 cup of pasta such as rotini

            mid size pot

Empty the box of dirty rice, and the two tablespoons of oil into the pot. Add the can of beans, and use that to add 1 1/2 cans of hot water. Boil for about twenty minutes stirring often. Add the rotini and cook for about another ten minutes. The rotini should not cook fully, but should just soften.

Campbell’s © like soups

Canned or fresh vegetables of choice.

1 cup of Marinara sauce per pot.

¼ stick of butter substitute

1 walnut, pulverized.

Generous amounts of garlic and celery salt.

For best Hoagie

Shake the onions, (be sure they are not water washed) lettuce, and tomatoes in a bag with olive oil and oregano. Let these sit in the refrigerator for an hour to maximize marinade.
