Welcome to what could be the most boring page on the internet. It’s a list of everything I could think of to tell about myself. This list isn’t for you, it’s for me. It’s to remind me of my goals, and of just who the hell I think I am. My blog may prove more insightful or more left field.

Physically: I’m 5 feet, 11 ¾ inches tall, short dirty-blonde hair, a moustache, blue-green-yellow eyes, 190 lbs give or take, a little *cough* round about the waist. I have at least 20/20 vision. I am part Irish, Scottish, Welsh, English, and German with a touch of Native American, Choctaw and Apache specifically. I am particularly flexible in my wrists, and my shoulders are seemingly double jointed. Soon to be missing my gall bladder (even though missing is the wrong word). Since a picture is worth a thousand words: a Webshots account where you can even order prints. But a thousand words are not always worth one picture (hence the following).

A few things about me: I’m a Jeans (or shorts (or black leather trench coat)) and T-shirt kind of guy. I’m very laid back and easy going, yet serious and intense as needed. I’m adventurous in spirit, but cautious and pragmatic in reality. I have my head in the clouds, but with at least the toes of one my feet on the ground. I’m very spiritual, and consider myself to be very moral, and a little bit chivalrous. I’m strange and eccentric, but harmless. And after one gets to know me, I’m rather predictable in my own sorta’ way.

Marital Status: Divorced.

Things I consider myself to be (/a/an): patriot, wizard, pro freedom of speech and right to bear arms (civil liberties in general), anti-fascist, moral, honorable, fair, loyal, superficial, responsible, candid, heretic, reverent, pagan, adventurer, intellectual, art lover, chocolate lover, dyslexic, telepathic, organ donor, frugal, geek, retired mallrat, killer of pens, forgiving, lacto-ovo-vegetarian, DL, environmentalist, pacifist, nature-lover, goal oriented, voter, american, monogamous, heterosexual, writer, and moderate.

Things I think (or know) I’m not (/a/an): adulterer, serial polygamist (this may change, damn you Oscar Wilde), Christian, Jew, Moslem, bastard, druggie, yuppie, hippie, warlock, sorcerer, gay or bi, revengeful, tattooed, pierced, gothic, punk,  musically proficient, violent towards people, tattle tale, rat, pet-owner, nerd, codfish, and into justice (Walking, talking, contradiction might be added here (or above)).

Favorite personal, stolen, and paraphrased quotes, clichés, maxims, and mottos I try to live by: One man’s religion is another man’s mythology; The universe doesn’t ever give you more than you can handle; Tyrants prefer unarmed citizens; Don’t cast your pearls before swine; Your attitude is your altitude, how high are you?; Have things, don’t let them have you; Seek always: The Truth; The truth does not require your belief for it to be what it is; Principles only mean something when they are inconvenient; Every answer is a response, but not every response is an answer; It’s not the gun that kills, but the man behind; In war, one can never have too much deception; Adaptability is survivability; Make kaput what makes you kaput; Habit is probably the greatest block to seeing truth; Human nature cannot be changed, only suppressed for a while; You don’t get what you don’t ask for; Whatever can happen, will happen; You may be the best, but someone else can always have a better day; Be happy in this moment, for it is your life; No matter where you go, there you are; Accept what you can't change. Change what you can't accept. When those are in conflict, you MUST find a happy medium. That is the only way people are happy in this world; It is better to wait and suffer than to force and break; Good is not a thing; Nothing lasts forever; Nothing is more exhilarating than being shot at without result; Your happiness is your own responsibility, and no one else’s; Don’t mistake initial love for longevity; No man is an island, and his castle isn’t home; You reap what you sow; Pattern is life; True Faith only comes from experience; We are not humans having a spiritual experience, but spirits having a human experience; Love thy neighbor as thyself; All desire is suffering; Plenty of things are impossible, it’s up to you to sort out the real shit from the bullshit; Choose your battles; What won’t happen, can’t happen; There’s no such thing as coincidence, everything is an omen; If one has a why, one can endure almost any how; If you know enough to ask the question, then you already know the answer; Everything is connected; Too love, is to stop comparing; Chose your significant other wisely as they will be either your biggest source of happiness or grief in your life; The probability of life existing by accident is comparable to the probability of an unabridged dictionary resulting from a printing press explosion; There is nothing wrong with being rich; Knowledge is a poor substitute for experience; We cannot do everything at once, but we can do something at once; When you compare what you know to what you don’t know, you know nothing; Boredom is not a state of inaction; You can’t call somebody without wanting something; Absence makes the heart grow fonder; A need is something you probably don't want; A want is probably something you don't need; The truth will set you free; Mind is mind, no matter whose pea brain it’s in; If you change yourself, you change the world; Forgiveness is forgetfulness; No one can make you feel inferior without your consent; What you think you know, doesn’t necessarily have much to do with reality; Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it (or never started), it continues to exist; The invisible and the non-existent look very much alike; An atheist only has to be someone who believes that the evidence on the “God” question is at a similar level to the evidence on the werewolf question; Trust is the foundation of all relationships, and communication is it’s supporting pillar; There is nothing new under the sun; If you’re going to pray for anything, pray for understanding; Be an example to yourself; You are a unique individual, just like everybody else; If you don’t earn it, you don’t respect it; The best thing a parent can do is give their children roots and wings; If god doesn't like the way I live, let Him tell me, not you; Hate doesn’t dissolve when what you hate is destroyed, it simply gets redirected; An unchangeable fact is not an enemy. Basic words of advice or common sense: Take your vitamins daily as they contribute not just to physical but to mental and emotional health as well. Buy deodorant that is also antiperspirant. Proper diet and aerobic exercise increase lifespan. Laughter is the best medicine. I’d rather be lucky than good. If you want to get the check, you get the check. Doctors don’t know everything. Nobody can hurt you more than your family. Those in their eighties (octalarians) feel little different from those who are only 18. History is doomed to repeat itself. The only thing constant in the universe is change. Nobody can be crueler than children. When it comes to your significant other, tell them everything as secrets and lies can destroy a relationship BUT when it comes to your past relationships: less is more. Communication, or the lack thereof makes or breaks relationships. If it is not earned, then it is not appreciated (easy come easy go). Not even true love comes easy, all relationships take vigilant work. Those little things count for a great deal. Don’t use divorce, truth, or guilt as weapons. What affects the mind affects the body and vice versa. There are one or more exceptions to every rule including this one. Ties to family are naturally stronger than that of friends or spouse. Whenever someone says, 'We can't be sentimental.' You know they're about to do something cruel. When they also say, 'We have to be realistic.' You know they're going to make money at it. Treat everyone as though they will be dead at midnight. Nature is much stronger than the force of nurture. Buy expensive things such as cars and furniture in September as September is the lowest month for retail sales and has best prices. Diet and exercise are opposites; dieting makes you want to exercise less. When you move into a new area eat local honey, as the pollen trapped within will help immunize you against allergic reactions from the pollen. With regards to people: opposites do not attract. Aluminum and Teflon invariably come off when cooking, and aren’t good for you in quantities of pots and pans so cook in steel or iron. Avoid foods and beverages canned in aluminum, as it has been shown to contribute to Alzheimer’s. Surround yourself with those who are smarter and better at your vocations and hobbies than you are. Get up before noon, and sleep between 10pm and 2am for best healing. The meaning of happiness is the fewer things you want to change, thus your happiness is measured by how much you would change your life. Driving in a car is a lottery for death; hedge your bet. People who tell you to trust them are usually untrustworthy. Divorce is a genetic disease. If pleasure is greatest in anticipation, just remember that this is also true of trouble. Convict, and be convicted (goes well with judge and be judged). Always read the fine print and anything in all caps. You cannot teach anything, but you can help someone to learn. A compliment paid to encourage a particular behavior in another might be an insult. You know you’re getting old when you bend over to pick something up, and look to see what else you can do while you’re down there. Ask yourself these questions everyday: who am I, and what do I want? Worrying is less work than doing something to fix the worry. This is especially true if we're careful to pick the biggest possible problems to worry about. Everybody wants to save the earth, nobody wants to help Mom do the dishes. The hand is quicker than the eye. Effort brings satisfaction. Excellence is possible without perfection. What you look at, looks back. The best way to fight an enemy is to make him an ally. Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night. Don't worry about what people think; they don't do it very often. Going to church doesn't make you a Christian/ Jew/ Muslim/ Wiccan/ Pagan/ Buddhist any more than standing in a garage makes you a car. Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity. It’s not the power of the curse, it’s the power you give the curse. Not one shred of evidence supports the notion that life is serious. A person who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a nice person. (This is very important. Pay attention! It never fails.) People who want to share their religious views with you almost never want you to share yours with them. You should not confuse your career with your life. One of the harshest lessons we learn, is the only thing that hurts us emotionally is each other. All things can be cleaned, rebuilt, repaired, or reforged. Most all religions have all the answers. The secret to happiness has always been to pretend you're happy, and sooner rather than later it happens on its own. Comfort the afflicted by afflicting the comfortable. When you act like the person people think you are, they will see that they were wrong, or you will see they are right. Nature is not for us, it is a part of us. Don’t mistake shampoo for real poo.

While Schindler's List is not a movie I would own or watch repeatedly, it is worth mentioning. It is a movie that teaches history in a very visual way. It may help prevent history from repeating, but in all likelihood, any who would want to do such things will not have seen it, or would be inspired by it in ways not intended by the maker. What the Bleep Do We Know!? and Fast Food Nation also deserves a mention, as it can help you to change yourself in a very positive ways, and thus the world.

Biggest weaknesses: ego, moodiness, low self-esteem, procrastination, laziness, sexual perversions, man-boobs, slobbisheness, other people’s sincerity, sentimentality, living to eat rather than eating to live, smoking, drinking, insomnia, stubbornness, gall stones, my paraphilias. These weaknesses are listed here because they are things I am trying to correct. I need reminders to set goals.

Political views: I was a republican until I realized, during his first term, just how badly George W. is fucking up our economy and international relations. Clinton, while I despised him while he was in office, at least was slowing the deficit. I feel strongly that getting rid of the deficit would be the biggest long term boost yet to our economy, not more tax cuts. Yet I am not a democrat, simply because a few years ago they sent me spam. So I am not affiliated, and therefore have no real voice. I think ideally, that all government serves the weak willed, and that each man should decide for himself what rules govern him. But our society is not yet ready for that. So long as we have money, we will have police, and so long as we have police we will have taxes, and so long as we have taxes we will have to work. The United Federation of Planets is a long way away.

It seems to me that the presidential race is about the candidate that is most likely to win for a given party, rather than what it should be: the best candidate for the job. At that level it’s about money and power and not about public service. It’s also about marketing. Surpisingly Barack doesn’t seem to represent this.

I was wholeheartedly against the war in Iraq. While it is benefiting the majority of the Iraqi people, it also is making our former president’s friends richer as it is they who got the contracts to rebuild, and us, poorer. Now the ecomonmy is in freefall and the loans are to blame? We were willing to liberate Iraq, but why is it we turn a blind eye to other countries with equal or greater suffering such as the genocide in Darfur? I feel it should not be America’s job to police the world. We should pay the UN for that. Now that we’re there, clearly we must stay until the job is done, being defined as it being safe to pull out without leaving Iraq to become a terrorist factory or a state in civil war.

History has proven that economic sanctions only strengthen a dictator’s position in a country. We need to lift economic sanctions from countries run by dictatorships like North Korea so that the people will have strength enough for a revolution. After all that seems to be what we wanted to happen in places like North Korea, Cuba and Iraq. How can the people fight the government when the government controls the food supply (Not to mention electricity, gas and everything else)?

I am also wholeheartedly against capital punishment, with the exception for traitors. Our justice system needs to rehabilitate criminals, not make them hard, lock them up and throw away the key, or kill them. But I suppose that would cost us too much money. Fortunatly my state of New Jersey abolishd such.

In states where the gun control laws are strict, violent crime is higher. If you think your neighbor is carrying a gun, would you rob him? Besides, it’s not the gun that kills but the man behind. Those that are licensed to carry concealed weapons go through training courses and background checks whereas drug dealers do not.

I am against the development of new nuclear weapons by us or anyone. If we need a nuclear bunker buster to bust a bunk, why couldn’t we seize the land above and lay siege. While the bunkaniers would be able to hold up for years, they would not be able to give orders, and would effectively be removed from the war. Further, radiation is a concern. Even our so-called depleted uranium bullets cause radiation poisoning. We don’t need 5,000+ warheads.

I am pro-nuclear power and against the use of coal. Energy producers have been cheating us environmentally for years, and our legislators are too weak to do anything about it. I move for a vote of no confidence in the leadership abilities of the United States Government.

I have not decided and may never decide if I am pro-choice or anti-abortion. Being male, I don’t feel a need to have a view. In general I feel that choice should ultimately be left up to the individual. I don’t think it’s a governments place to regulate morality, but abortion seems to be a hazy debate. Pro choice-ers argue personal freedom, which I’m all for; whereas pro lifer-ers argue the definition of life and that termination of a fetus is murder. Of course I’m against murder in all forms, but must candidly admit that I’m uncertain as to whether or not a fetus qualifies as a human life. That being said, in the cases of rape, incest, and danger to the mother, abortion should be allowed.

I am also torn on the issue of legalizing marijuana. The pros are enormous; it’ll add a new tax base and reduce some of the crime rate. But the cons are equally heavy, people will drive under the influence and there will be a new area for moral degradation, as people who didn’t smoke previously would start; and there’s the health issue as well. But I don’t want any government dictating what is right and wrong to me, so I personally disregard that part of the argument. I have never used illegal drugs in this lifetime and don’t plan to. And as history repeats itself, I ask you to examine China with regards to opium in the time of the late 1800’s.

Eventually I would like to see the United States of America become a true democracy, where the vote of the majority decides the rules and regulations we will live by, rather than electing career politicians to make the decisions for us. As of now we are beggars to the politicians with the ability to hire/fire but once a term, and even then, thay are approved and have financial backing. In the meantime, I would like to see a mass deregulation in our government on all levels. While we need the FDA, FBI, NSA, FAA, ATF and the military to be operated on federal levels, we do not need the federal government to dictate speed limits for example.

If I were president: I’d update the political part of this page.

Current Quests:

Fears: Jail; the coming cataclysm; boredom; hunger; pain; injury; not finishing my book(s) before my death; spiders and hairy crawly bugs; jumping, diving, or falling from heights.

Regrets: Marrying Stefanie and losing my virginity to her, falling in love with Alana, my relationships with Kelly and Jackie, getting angry, not getting better grades in school, not getting the rank of Eagle Scout, dissolving my friendship with Rita Dolphin, not participating in the Merchantville school talent show, being shy in High School, not sticking with martial arts, not blogging more and not taking more pictures.

Little preferences: Unscented candles, Old Spice antiperspirant / deodorant: Original Scent (solid not gel or roll-on), and single blade Bic single blade razors. 2% milk. Thinner to the thicker noodles. White Rain shampoo. Bifold wallets to trifold or money clips. Christmas trees with lots of lights both colored and white, blinking, loaded with ornaments and glass balls, covered in tinsel. Scottish folk music to Irish. Driving with a cop in front of me rather than behind. Tomato paste with vinegar to be spelled ketchup rather than catsup. Malibu Musk.

My General Future Goals and Expectations: Earn a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Loose the flab. Quit smoking.  Finish reading all of the Star Wars books in chronological order. Get my books published. Solve the paradox (es). Achieve Enlightenment. All probably in that order.

Careers I think I’m suited for: Airline pilot, military transport pilot or bomber pilot, efficiency expert, think tank member, nuclear physicist, college professor, novelist, movie reviewer, model photographer, airplane designer, movie or sound editor, intelligence officer, ambassador, computer coder, butler, sociologist, psychologist, ergonomist, marketing manager, team leader (I know how to lead people, anytime, anywhere, any situation), economist, talk show host, radio dj, actor, stay-at-home husband, and oil rigger.

My ultimate long term goal: I want to own my own home and have a job I enjoy. I don’t care where in the world I live and work. I love the long sunsets and sunrises, change of seasons, greenness, and snow of northern latitudes, and I love the warmer weather and palm trees of southern latitudes In my house I would enjoy having my own bathroom, a room for meditation, and a place for my favorite toy: my computer. It would be complete with a desk set up for multiple monitors, printer, flatbed scanner, and high-speed Internet connection. The room would also have a coffee maker and microwave. I’d like to drive a sporty car and a motorcycle. Gotta have a swimming pool. But of course the most cherished things in that house would be my wife and children. I desperately want to live the householder’s life.

Towns I’ve lived, even if only for a few days: Tulsa OK, Philadelphia PA, Mt. Laurel NJ, Maple Shade NJ, Medford NJ, Merchantville NJ, Marlton NJ, Oviedo FL, Clementon NJ, Pittsgrove NJ, Blackwood NJ, Winter Springs FL, Cherry Hill NJ, Yanceyville NC, Providence NC, and Depford NJ.

Known people in my soul circle (that I am (mostly) absolutely positive of): Rev. David A. Donsky, Rev. Michael McDowell, Bree Allan, Kelly Spina, Sean Corbett, Patrick Corbett, Robert Corbett, Daniel Watson, Daniel Chuvanne, Franklin Shores, Ikie Evans, Frank Sharples, Theresa Gatti, Jackie Abert, Brandon Eyler, Kieth Riser, Matt Lee and Jennifer Smith.

Daydreams: I have several daydreams I frequently think about, often with pencil in hand to aid in visualization. Dnd is not counted, because that is preparation; useful brainstorming.

The biggest and most elaborate of my daydreams is a mix of Star Trek, Star Wars, Dracula: the series, Terminator, and the Man-Kzin Wars with a touch of Babylon 5. I’ve iterated this particular daydream 1300 years, and continue to evolve it regularly. Imagine a vampire that has become a Jedi Master and is a Grand Admiral in Starfleet. I’ve followed the careers of several officers, as well as advanced the technology in spurts. The end goal of this fantasy is to create a utopia.

Another favorite is what I would do with $100B. I’ve designed one hell of a mansion (the mansion is based around a pool and arboretum, with over 200 guest bedrooms, a full movie theater, a grand ball room, and an astronomical observatory), I would create several new companies (such as a movie production company, a chain of video rental stores, and hotels), and would consider it my responsability to use the money for charities that would actually make a difference. So long as there is money there will be poverty and hunger. So the real difference that needs to be made is environmental and political. The end goal of this fantasy is to see what I could do with more money “than one can spend in a lifetime”. I don’t believe that much money is in circulation today.

What would I do if 99.44% of the world’s population dies or disappears? Who would I meet, and how would I go about things. Well top priorities are obtaining firearms as that is an instant anarchy with no police farce. Next priority is to get things for trade such as medicine and drugs, ammunition, and fresh food. Usually by this time I meet someone and things change from there. The idea here is practice my ability to simulate people in my mind, and to see what I will need to do in the coming cataclysm.

Another fantasy: poof I’m transported to another world. From there I find that the local king is testing suitors for his daughter by giving them a challenge. The challenge is usually to get a ruby that is on a pillow on a rug, without setting foot on the rug. Get the ruby and you can keep it or marry the princess and become heir to the throne. Another variation is the king simply names me heir and promptly dies. Same purpose as above.

I get to start my life over, knowing what I know now. If I were to be able to go back to four years old I’d make quite a few changes. I’d have gotten better marks at school, would’ve actually asked out the girls I was interested in. I would have saved, and if parents were willing, invest. This is a great exercise in discovering regrets.

I have the five rings of power from my AD&D campaign. From here all things are possible. This is a great test of the limits of my imagination.

Places to Boycott: Wachovia Bank for outrageous check cashing fees and amount of ID required; Applebee’s for refusing to serve an autistic child; singlesnet.com for spamming!

Last will and Testament: While this is not legally binding, it is what I want. I wish to be cremated. I also ask you keep in mind that I am an organ donor and that if you are there at the time of my death, and you can authorize it, let them harvest anything they want. Someone make damn sure that I have pennies on my eyes before whatever winds up being done with my body is done! I will not commit suicide, and if that’s what they say caused my death have it investigated! I would like my knives, crystals and other sharp pointy objects or weapons to go to Dave. All of my trains to Benjamin Patti. I would also like someone to log into my geocities account and put my time, place, and circumstances of death here and my obituary or the like on along with whatever I was working on with my blog. Make sure that also goes on Yahoo 360, MySpace and if possible that those get maintained. These pages can act as a memorials. All of my login information is found in the foxhunt file in the Goodly’s Lair folder on my hard drive. I would also like to see my autobiography uploaded five years after my and Kelly Spina’s death, and should I return and successfully prove myself, I’d like my cd/dvd cases returned to me. Computer(s) and parts go to my brothers. They can decide tween’ themselves how that gets split, and if they can’t a coin should be used. Divvy up the rest any which way. I would like Flight 29 to be taken over by one of the moderators of the Yahoo! Group. Ask for volunteers. And when they no longer wish to do it, ask them to pass on the mantle of that position in the same manner. So long as there is information on Kate Maberly, or her heirs should they choose the same profession, Flight 29 will have need of updating and maintaining. It should be noted that I own the rights to Jaimee Linthincum-Deek’s first successfully sold screenplay, should she ever write one. So collect on that.

Does this whole series of pages seem greatly egotistical to you? That’s not at all my intention, I just want to make it clear who I am, with no excuses for it. This is a résumé for friendship, and a way to find old friends. It does not clearly show my personality, as I certainly like some things on this page much more than others. This page is also meant for future generations to have an idea of what an ancestor was like; and should I be lucky enough, it is for me to understand myself in a future incarnation. It is also a therapeutic reflection upon myself. I continue to learn an awful lot about myself by writing this.

More (Aren’t you bored already?): My Family, a short family history slash autobiography, Recipes, including Rose Tea and Chocolate Death Pie, Relationships, an essay containing everything I know on the subject, Updates to this page and my life/blog, and Stories, tales of memories from past lives.
