Founded in 1912 in Savannah Georgia by Juliette Gordon Low (Daisy), the Girl Scouts - U.S.A. has 2.5 million members and is the largest organization serving girls and young women world wide. They have been a part of the World Association of Girl Guides/Girls Scouts since founding.

Troop divisions within the Girl Scouts - U.S.A. are by ages: Daisy's (Age 5), Brownies (Ages 6-8), Juniors (Ages 9-11), Cadettes (Ages 12-14), and Seniors (Ages 15-18).
