The Canines and Felines in My Life |

This is Harley. Well, actually, his full name is Tonka Toy's Harlequin. My parents dumped him in my lap Christmas morning of 1995. What a wonderful suprise. Saint bernards are one of the most wonderful breeds of dogs that I have ever had the pleasure of being around. But, of course, these dogs are not for everyone. Harley here usually weighs in at 160 pounds in the middle of winter. He outweighs me by nearly 40 pounds. Harley stayed with my parents when I moved to the big city, but he is much happier in the cooler weather and the abundance of room to run. |

This little guy with Harley is Duke, my boston terrier. I paid $600 for this little guy and had him flown to me from Kansas. He loves all other dogs and gets along great with people. This dog sleeps with me at night and plays by day. I bought him when I moved down to the city and realized that I had to have a dog and only a boston terrier would do. Duke weighs 18 pounds against Harley's 160. |

And our pound puppy, Guinevere. She is mostly rotti but she is crossed with labrador. This dog will kill anything smaller than her. We adopted her as a companion for Harley after our first dog, Sky Hawk died from cancer. It was about a week before Christmas that Sky died and we adopted Guin. She really is a pain in the butt, but she is still a good dog. |

This is Duke's companion, Rebel. Rebel is a german shepard/corgi cross that came from a no-kill shelter up north. He isn't any kind of intelligent, but I still love him. He is Duke's patient chew toy. |

This is Zowie. I had been thinking about getting another dog for quite awhile so one morning, I popped out of bed and found myself at the local animal control. And this little wonder is what I happened to come home with. I think it was my pregnant hormones thinking I needed more pets. She is an australian cattle dog cross. She only weighs 28 pounds and brought to my house a nice bout of kennel cough. She is slowly coming around though she hates men, I can't say I blame her at all though. |

Ahh, the three goobers all in one shot. This was a very difficult task for one person to do, but I did it. Duke is never really thrilled with having his picture taken, and I assume that it is because I am shouting commands and stuff and causing anxiety for him. I'll have to work on that. |

That little black dot sitting on the bricks is Frisky. She was born in 1990 after her mother roamed in after a blizzard. She and her sister are still very active and very happy to have miles and miles of land to roam. Frisky looks just like her mother, only short haired. |

This is Lexington named after the smallest gargoyle in the cartoon series. When he was a kitten, he was so dinky and his head was so round that he looked just like the character. Lex is half siamese and he is totally nutty. He is such an awesome cat. I have never met another cat like Lex. |

This is Frittsy, daughter of Smoky and sister of Frisky. This cat defines the term "fraidy cat" as she is afraid of her own shadow. She is specifically terrified of men as my brother did really cruel things to her. One that I recall specifically was a time when my mom would leave one car window down in the winter so that Frittsy would have a place to sleep. Anyway, it was the driver's side window that was down and she was sound in the passenger side seat. The passenger side window was up. My brother crept out into the garage and jumped up in the driver's side window sending poor Frittsy, terrified, head long into the passenger side window. I have despised my brother since that moment. |

And then there is Reno. I adopted this cat a couple of days before went to Reno, Nevada for my aunt's 50th birthday party. He was 3 years when I adopted him and he has purred me to sleep almost every night since. Of course during the entire construction of this site, he is clawing to get in my room, then he wants out, in, out, in, out. If he isn't careful he'll end up on the deceased pet list. j/k |

As of New Year's Eve, 2 hours before the clock struck midnight, I am the proud owner of a very young spawn-of-Satan kitten. She is jet black with light gray undercoat and actually has tiger stripes when held in the sunlight. No one has since claimed her or even had any litter born in the nasty neighborhood she was found in. So, she is mine. Pictures coming soon. |
