Fencing at Double wars

The academys structure holds three ranks: scholar, provost and prefect. Each rank demanding more from the fencers skills, ambition and equipment. To obtain a rank within the academy the fencer has to perform a test, the playing for the prize, in wich the fencer faces other members from the academy. The prize fights gets longer and harder for each rank.

The academy is open for all who meets the demands and asks for a prize fight. The person that you ask must be a member and will sponsor you into the academy. The tests and demands include:

Scholar : To be eligable for the rank of scholar the fencer must have a minumum of three authorizations, have a period outfit and own his equipment. The prize fight contains of three bouts with three weapon combinations against members of the academy. The insignia of a scholar is the black braid.

Provost : To be eligable for the rank of provost the fencer must have been a scholar for a year, hold all authorizations for the light blade class, have a period and a worthy behaviour. The prize fight contain three bouts with all weapon combinations against provosts or prefects. You must be invited by provosts or prefects to play the prize of provost. The insignia of a provost is the black and red braid.

Prefect : To be eligable for the rank of prefect the fencer must have been a provost for a year and be a example for all fencers of the kingdom. In the prize fight the fencer faces other prefects in all weapon forms. You must be invited by other prefects to play for the prize of this rank. The insignia of a prefect is a braid (colors to be determined ?)

There is allso a open challenge round included in the playing for the prize where all fencers are encouraged to face the prospect.
