Gray- Gray hates you. Period. He even hates you more if you say you want Ann. So, the best thing to do is to make him happy by giving him stuff. He really likes Eggs from what I hear, but usually I just give him fish. He's going after Popouri, and you can tell when he's on the verge of asking her to marry him when he says "Do I look worrried?" at the bar, and when you see the scene where he plants flowers on the ranch.
Kai- Kai works at the vineyard, and he's sort of seclusive at first, but after a while he starts to lighten up. As soon as he says "I've had enough." at the bar, that means your on the path to a friendship. He really likes Karen, and their are alot of movies where he interferes with her relationship with her dad, he's always trying to make them make up.
Jeff- Though a bit (15 yrs) older than the competition, Jeff has his eye on sweet little Elli. Unfortunately, she thinks of him as more of a fatherly figure than as a husband. Jeff is a really nice guy, though a bit boring with his constant talk of tea. He only makes his move on Elli when you're far out of the picture, and he's the one to ask if you like Elli, just like Karen's dad...
Harris- the village mailman, Harris has the perfect job to spy on Maria. But, he's almost as shy as she is. So, it doesn't exactly work. You don't even know he likes her untill you get to be real good friends. He says little hints like "On holidays I like to rest, you know ,read a book that sort of thing." and then you can also tell when he saves her from sammy the fraud salesman. You know they are going to get married when Maria gives him a letter.
Cliff- Cliff is a very solitary man. He arrives at your farm sometime after the first Horse Race. He's really hungry, so you're supposed to give him something edible without leaving the screen or else he disappears. Cliff is usually found in the mountains, and he's your rival for Ann. If you don't make friends with him by the end of the first year, he leaves. If Cliff likes you he'll bring you fish sometimes. Cliff is a really nice guy but he never talks, and he mostly hangs out with his hawk, Cain (in some parts it's spelled Kane). |
