April 2002 Apr 04 - The Hi-Phoniqs are in an Edmonton studio finishing the first album, Pre sales of the new cd are in the mix so if you want to purchase an advance copy email me and I'll send you the details. May 2002 May 23 - Announced at the last show in April Angie has decided to leave the band. May 23 - Spring Fling is set for May 31 and Nato has got some tickets. May 23 - This weeks SEE Magazine has the Best Of Edmonton, the Hi-Phoniqs were voted as Edmonton's second best local band September 2002 Sep 18 - The Hi-phoniqs CD RELEASE at the Rev was a huge sucess. The band is on an official break for an undertermined amount of time. Curtis has gone to Vancouver to pursue a Solo Project, J.I.F is in full effect, and Orville will continue singing with his accapella group. Any current news on the THP's will still be updated on this site, keep the support of the Hi-Phoniq family, and their individual works as well. Jif is joined by THP member Orville Cameron in a funktastik showcase of e-towns funk and raggae scene the SUPERBAND (not to be missed this new years eve). And last but not least Curtis Santiago wins the new music west's Rising Star award, gets a grant from the Canadian Government and releases his new solo project Portrait Of An Artist. In keeping with the THP vibe, he invites old THP band mates Ian Allyne & Angela Roy to perform on a couple tracks....
