"Living Beyond Adversity"

 

  Chronic Pain/Illness Ministry

PAIN. This at times, is almost like an "entity" that can take over your life. It can rob you of happiness, peace, sleep, pleasant times spent with family and friends. In fact it has the power to change you as a person. I have suffered with chronic pain for ten years now. It began with a severe bone infection in my left leg.

    In August of 1993 my left leg was amputated below the knee. But by that time, there was so much irreversible nerve and tissue damage, that I was "sentenced" to Life With Chronic Pain.     This is a very "condensed" version of my story. But my goal is not to bring pity or  glory to ME. But rather to share with you the "Life Lessons" that the Lord has began to share with me as I am daily learning to stay yielded to Him and allow Him to "walk along beside me"… even on the days when I can barely walk at all. * I have also gathered some wonderful resources for those of us living our lives with a physical challenge. I hope you will find encouragement and peace in this site.    

How can we face each new day,  knowing that PAIN will be our constant "companion"? "...Not by might, not by power,  But by MY Spirit says the Lord" Zechariah 4:6

 

My wonderful CHRISTIAN doctor recommended this wonderful book to me. It is written by a Christian  Physician who has learned the importance of prayer in living with Chronic Pain. He also talks about the importance of Doctor's and Patients praying together. I enjoyed the book immensly so I found it through  AMAZON.COM and I have placed it in my On-Line Christian Bookstore.
