3/4 Time

(the Band)

Pretty Miss Amy Vance was the surprise addition with her out-front vocal style that really grabs you by the collar, and holds your attention with her ability to be chameleon-like with H. B. She is, by trade, a ballet teacher in SW Virginia and adds a lot of class and sass at the same time to the show.

On bass guitar is the powerful stylings of Bob Sarver from Johnson City, Tennessee. Bob’s background comes from many hot nights of power-chording Southern rock-’til-you-drop, and he adds a depth to H. B.’s sound that has never existed before.

In early 2002, H. B. added-on the final member of what has evolved into “3/4 Time”, his first-ever permanent performing band. Tony Rominger hails from Elizabethton, Tennessee, and rounds-out (for now) the elusive “H. B. sound” that has been missing for so many years. Tony has played with the likes of James Brown, Jimmy Buffett, Willie Nelson, and many others too numerous to mention. His abilities, instrumentally, are staggering onstage and always leave you wondering “how the heck can one guy be this good on so many instruments!?!”

This new line-up of 3/4 Time adds a kick and freshness to what the Tri-Cities area of NE Tennessee has been hearing for so many years now, and it has alot of people talking about new possibilites for H. B.’s future, with good reason. The new shows have been super-charged with great crowd reactions to the fine singing and playing from H. B. and 3/4 Time.
