See the pictures from 'behind the scenes' to the full production. Adapted by Christopher Sergel, this book by Harper Lee remains a favorite!

The summer of 2001 proved to be a very busy time for the Theatre with back to back events. Beginning with
THE CHILDREN'S WORKSHOP in June, the Theatre hosted about 3 dozen children, some of them having their first experience onstage. Donna Seay did a remarkable job bringing them all into the action with costumes, sets, and even some dancing!

In
July, we had one of the greatest Broadway Revues of all time with SHOWSTOPPERS III---The Classics. Michael and Kayla Blackston and Will Brown put together a remarkably  entertaining show highlighting some of the great musicals from the 50's up to the present.

In
August, the cast of DEARLY DEPARTED reunited to bring us a great reprise of the play, with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society for the annual Relay for Life event. In October, the same dedicated cast 'took the show on the road' to compete in the Georgia Theatre Conference "The Play's The Thing" at the State University of West Georgia in Carrolton. Our hats are off to this fine, talented and dedicated group.
WE CAME AWAY AS A WINNER: STAN SHEFTALL Honorable Mention Best Director!
In
November of 2002, the cast AGAIN went on the road, this time to the newly reopened ELBERT THEATRE where the proceeds from the 2 performances were donated to their restoration project.

Also in
October of 2001, Dianne Brookins directed the delightful play The Secret Garden. With Samantha Kelley as Mary, Kevin Bowers as Colin, and Garret Harbison as Dickon, the Kid Star Power came on strong in this heartwarming story by Frances Hodgson Burnette.
