In February 2000, Ron Smothermon, a Smotherman family researcher from Santa Fe, New Mexico, obtained detailed information regarding the indictment and trial of Samuel Smytheman which occurred in April, 1744. Ron's information came from Stephen T. J. Wright, of the London Research Service, Essex, England.
