I was a preschool teacher but now stay home with my kids, Alonzo, 12, and Alice, 4, and work two days a week doing landscape maintenance with my husband. I have been married for 18 years to a really great man (I have to say that, now he's my boss, too), and I'm really glad I got out of Waterford. It's been very rewarding to have so many people sign up on this page, I hope that it's given everyone some happy memories. Married Doug Flint, of Voorheesville, in November 1988. We recently built a new home in Stillwater, just 1/2 mile from Saratoga Lake. We keep our boat docked at Brown's Beach, within walking distance of our house. When we're not boating we enjoy gardening, home remodeling and decorating, browsing through antique shops, and cross-country skiing. I'm still close friends with Mary McEntee, Maria Pascarella and Nancy Pludrzynski, and we try to get together whenever time allows. Back in May Doug and I FINALLY became the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl. We brought Aimee Elizabeth home when she was just 12 days old. After trying to have children for ten years, we were thrilled when the adoption agency called us the day after we returned home from our Caribbean cruise! We had just nine days to prepare for her arrival!! At ages 38 and 35, it's been quite an adjustment to our lifestyle! Doug and I are both madly in love with this sweet little creature, and can't imagine our lives without her. I've recently returned to work part-time, and my parents look after her while we're working. What a great idea this is...(way to go, Eve)and I'm impressed with the number of folks from the class of '80 who have dropped in...we still rule, even if we are on the brink of becoming geezers! I returned to Waterford in 1996 and am thrilled to be here. After living in NYC, Ohio, and West Virginia, there truly is no place like home. I have been working as Ed Ryan's head paralegal for almost three years and love it (mostly). Have traveled extensively - former U.S.S.R., Jordan, Egypt, Bosnia and Mexico. No kids, but I am in love (Douglas - union electrician and musician)and have been hinting pretty heavily about the ring thing...hopefully before I'm 40! I am still involved in theatre and can be heard on lots of local commercials (Emizack Furniture, Original Sounds, etc.), however I am still waiting for the call from Spielberg to star in his latest. I'm happily married with two wonderful sons ( little muggers,as Frank Ryan likes to call em ) they are 7 and 5. I have been working as a chef for the Eddy system these days and in my spare time have been playing guitar and computer repair. Name: Dan Hines Location: Waterford, NY Class Of: 1981 Comments: 11/25/99 (T-day): Hi everyone. I still reside in Waterford. My wife Marianne and I live on Washington Avenue with our two boys, David (8) and Nathaniel (5), and dog CoCo (1.5 --10.5dy) .: I have been busy since graduation (1981). I went to Hudson Valley for Data Processing (1983) and then to Siena for Computer Science (1986). I've been employed with the New York State Insurance Department for the last 11 years as a data communications specialist (computer networking). I worked for Fleet Bank and Parsons Child and Family Center prior to my current job. I cannot wait until Y2K is over!!! Pretty neat being a part of it though. I am now working on my masters degree in public administration at Sage Graduate School, which I hope to complete in the next year. I probably will continue on to get my teaching certification. I think it would be neat to come back to WHHS someday, maybe as a math or computer science teacher. Ms. Piper would be proud of me!!! I have tried to stay active in local organizations. I was a fireman for a while and an EMT with the Rescue Squad. I spent some time with the Emergency team, and learned to scuba dive! I then became interested in local politics, ran for Village trustee a couple of times, and am now the Chairman of the Democratic Committee. I urge everyone that is interested in making Waterford a better place to live to get involved (Email me please--we need you!!!). There is some work involved, but we do mix in a lot of fun too. In closing, I guess Waterford will always be home for me. I do like to travel, and plan to do so as much as I can. I would like to go to Ireland next. An African safari after that. I would also like to make a return trip to France (Mr. Ouimet, I will never forget the trip my French class went on - fantastic!) Its hard to believe that I am rapidly approaching my 20th reunion. Anyone have any details on this???? I haven't been to one since our 5th reunion, and would like to have one for our 20th. I have some ideas when the time comes. I hope to hear from others from my class. I still see us Waterford diehards around at the baseball and soccer games, school plays, dropping/picking up kids at religion, etc. BTW, has anyone seen Joe Kelly??? If so, tell him I said hi! I was working in the automotive aftermarket ( parts ) field for the past 9 years but have recently taken a position at one of the largest LEXUS dealerships in the country ( again in the parts dept. ). Name: Beth Cerqua Location: Bridgewater, NJ Class Of: 1982 Comments: What a great idea this was! Hello to all fellow alumni. After graduation, I went to HVCC (Math and Science) and then on to Clarkson University (Chemical Engineering). I came to New Jersey for my first job out of college - with Nabisco, and have pretty much been here ever since. I was able to travel the country with Nabisco, then went on to work for a subsidiary of Shell Oil. With less traveling, I was able to enroll in the graduate program at Seton Hall University. I received an MBA in finance in 1994. I have also worked in consulting (petroleum industry), international pricing for UPS, and have now been in finance at AT&T for the last 3 years. I finally met Mr. Right (Phil) and was married on July 3, 1999. We just bought our first house together - 4 bedrooms so there is room for some little ones someday. For now, we are settling into married life. I manage to get to Waterford about 10 times a year - at least once or twice during the Saratoga racing season. Hope to see more entries in the guest book soon (class of '82, where are you?). Things are great in spite of myself. After High School went into the US Army 82nd Airborne Division as a foward observer. Honorable Discharge. Went to college for Electrical Engineering Technologies/Laser Optics. Worked a half dozen different jobs in the related field. Still havn't figured out what I want to be when I grow up. Had the chance to travel a bit. Been to Europe, Africa and Asia. Seen Jerusalem, the Great Pyramids of Giza, and Stone Hendge as well as a few other things along the way. Name:Jennifer Clarke Class of 82 Location:Benicia, CA Comments:After graduation and a brief stint at HVCC, I began a 15 year career with the State of New York. I did a lot of traveling, mainly out to California to visit Dawn Marie Taylor who had moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1992. I gradually fell in love with the area myself and moved out here in 1998. It's the best move I could have ever made. My life is full and lots of fun, and you can't beat the scenery and all there is to do! I live with a wonderful guy and we're always on the go! Although I don't have any children of my own, I have a wonderful nephew in Waterford, and another on the way in Chicago. I get home for Christmas and try to visit for special occasions. Brian graduated college with a degree in Mechanical design. He has worked for GE waterford for 11 yrs. Brian is Chairman of the board of Fire Commissioners with the Halfmoon Fire Dept. He also is an EMT and Firefighter as well. I graduated from cosmetology school and became licensed in 1984. We recently (1995) opened a beauty salon/day spa on route 9 in Latham. To quickly summarize where I have been; right after high school I spent 2 yrs @ HVCC and 2yrs @ Siena College for Mkt/Mgmt. I then began work with GE Plastics in Customer Service and after three years returned to RPI for my MBA - I rejoined GE Plastics and held assignments in Field Sales, Marketing and as a Customer Service Mgr. Most recently I have joined our GE Silicones division as the Sealants & Adhesives Supply Chain Leader and we are making the move to Clifton Park. I am happily married to my wife Bethany (since 1994) and have 2 beautiful girls, Nicole who is four and Kirsten who is two and another on the way in October - each child holds the distinction of being born in a different state. We are getting pretty old aren't we? We will be married 10 years in March of 2001 and have 2 beautiful children, Kristina Lynn (9yrs) and John Michael (7yrs), both of whom are currently attending Waterford Halfmoon. John spent 2 years over seas in the Army after graduation (mainly in Germany).He is currently working as an Assistant to Dr. Barbara Wolf, a criminal pathologist. Paula just recently changed careers after 8 years as a Training Manager for Bruegger's Bagel Bakeries and is now only (???) 2 years away from becoming a New York State Liscensed Optician. She is currently working as an Apprentice Optician and Manager for Empire Vision Center on Central Avenue. It is so good to see what some of our old friends are up to. We just came back to Waterford after a lengthy stay in Cohoes. We bought a house on Knox Street and would love visitors. It's hard to believe that it's been almost 15 years since graduation!! Seems impossible. I found it surfing while bored at work. I have twin girls, Toni and Tonya age 11. I'm married 3 years to a wonderful man Mark. I work for the Education Dept. of the state of New York, I've been here for 10 long years. Never thought education would be my thing. My husband manages a body shop in Scotia. He's the best painter in town, he paints better than a factory paint job. We reside in Waterford on Middletown Rd. The girls go to Waterford school. It's really a flash back when I go to the school for a function of some sort. I always see a familiar face. I spend most of my summers at Garrett Field coaching my daughters softball team. Its almost like a reunion being on the field. That's where old friends meet. I went to our 10 year reunion, it was a great time visiting with our old class. I hope the next one will be in the summer at a park in the day time with hamburgers and hot dogs,where everyone can dress in t-shirts, cut-offs and sandals so we can all stay longer and feel more comfortable, maybe more people will come. We got married on New Year's Eve, 1997. We went on a honeymoon cruise to the Carribean. That was awesome. I've been working at the same place now for 11 years. I work in the education department, planning in-house training seminars for insurance professionals. My husband is a computer programmer/analyst for the state. Before we got married, my husband and I did some traveling. We went to Europe and visited Portugal, Spain, Africa, the Rock of Gibralter and spent a night in France. Prior to going over seas, we went to Dallas twice to watch the Cowboys play, and last year, we went to New Orleans to see the Saints and the Cowboys play. What a party town New Orleans is. Well, I'm in Arizona, moved here shortly after graduation, went to college and was hired by the Mesa Fire Dept. in 1992. I'm an Engineer (the guy who drives the truck) and a paramedic. Also in 1992, I met my current wife. We'll be married 5 years this April. We have two boys, 3 and 1. Not sure if we're done yet. Kathy used to work for Southwest Airlines but is now lucky enough to be a stay home mom. We just finished building a home last August and plan on settling into this one for a while. Kristin Carnibucci (Peterson) lives out here too, but I don't see her much, she seems to always forget our phone number. We come home 2-3 times a year, in November I come home by myself to go hunting with Dad. I usually hang out in the village, drinking and acting stupid, hoping to see some familiar faces.
