ch: *Ellen C Bingaman b. 27 Jul 1848 in Ohio

Ellen was an only child. I have often wondered if Perry was the maiden name of Williams mother. The name was spelled "Bingerman" on the 1860 census, but the family went by the spelling "Bingaman." He was a respected farmer in the Black Hawk community. His tombstone reads,
Gone to sleep, thy journey ended
Peacefully laid down to rest
and even now thy spirits blended
with the angels and the blest
Sweetly asleep out dear Grandfather
We will meet thee by and by.

There is also a picture of a heart in a hand. It is at marker 100 F in Spring Creek Cemetery, Black Hawk, Iowa.
