GAME: "Father Says"   ("Simon Says")
 Children stand facing teacher. Say "Father says ______________ (action below)" or just
 name the action & do it. Game guidelines: As with the traditional "Simon Says," children should
 follow instructions only when "Father Says". Children remain standing whether or not they
 respond correctly to game guidelines. After several instructions, choose a child to be leader.
        -wash your hands                                -do your math homework   &nnbsp;                -make your bed
        -vacuum the floor                                - put dirty clothes in the hamper &nbbsp;         -dust the furniture
        -water the plants                                 -feed the dog/cat    &                             -brush your teeth
        -take out the trash                               -set the table    &nbssp;                                  -scrap the dishes
        -pick up your toys                               -straighten your room   &nbbsp;                     -_____________
 Look scripture up in Bible and have child read: "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for
 this is right."Ephesians 6:1. Ask children what other instructions their parents give them to do.
 Ask children why it is OK or even better to follow parent's instructions when they were not
 specifically stated again. Discuss how we should obey our parents, teachers, police even when they
 are not looking.

GAME: "PAIRS of FATHER PEARS" or "Who Am I?"
Cut 40 pear shapes (2 sets of  10 matching pairs) from yellow construction paper. Write identifying
info and scripture reference on some pears and fathers' names on other pears. Divide class into two
teams and have students match up pears, using their Bibles as needed. OPTION: Make one set of
matching pairs; match pears together as a class, using a pocket board.
    1. I became a father when I was 100 years old (Genesis 21:5). Abraham
    2. I had two fishermen sons, James & John, who left their jobs to follow Jesus (Matthew 4:21).

    3. I was the first father on earth (Genesis 4:1). Adam
