I hope everyone had a wonderful time at the picnic! Well, school has started back...and I'm very excited about that. After a year of anxiously waiting, I finally got the one thing I've wanted since I was seven...CONTACTS!!! My optometrist told me to wwait a year and come to get them this year. He said my eyes weren't quite ready yet. But it's really kind of hard for me because everytime I do a pageant, I can't even see the judges faces very well! My mom said I must do a great job guessing...because it has payed off!
But anyways, I really hope everyone has had a wonderful summer vacation. This summer, I made a trip to Gatlinburg, TN. I really enjoyed it a lot and the best thing was, everybody was so warm and friendly to all of the visitors. It's a real tourist hotspot with all of it's places to shop and eat...and DOLLYWOOD! Everything was literally in walking distances.
Good luck to everyone this school year, and I wish you the best of luck in everything you do!
Ashley Harper was the 1998 Junior Miss State Queen, and came back this year to take home the Overall High Point title from ages 10 and over. This is quite an accomplishment, and Ashley worked hard for it!
