Fog Chiller
If you want your fog to roll across the ground a Chiller is what you need. The fog must be cooler than the ambient air to drop to the floor. There are many ways to cool the fog. My own design uses a heater core from a car. Make a box out of 1" foam. Glued together with silicon. Polystyrene seems to be the strongest and easiest to work with. Make it just big enough to house the heater core, leaving at least an inch space front and back. Cut a 4 inch hole in the front and back, silicon the 4 inch elbows into the holes. Cut out 4 one inch squares for spacers behind the core. Glue in place.Place core in box and drill holes as required for the water inlet and outlet to the core. Install hoses on core with clamps.Seal the sides around the core (and holes cut for hose) with spray foam. This holds and seales the core in place.Use some soft foam weather strip to seal the lid. Clamp in place (lid need to be removeable for craining and cleaning)
One hose will connect to the power head (or whatever you use) and the other is just for water to return to the bucket.
To make the fog even colder, to stay on the ground longer, use two heater cores.
Material List:
Aprox. 4 square feet 1 inch foam
automotive heater core (from junk yard?)
clear silicon
1 - can spray foam (minimal expantion)
2 - 4 inch vent duct adjustable elbows
10 feet hose to fit heater core
small bucket  (for ice water)
small water pump (I used an aquarium power head)
I tested this with a thermometer. The incoming air was over 120 degrees. After going through chiller the air was 42 degrees
This design cools the fog by blowing it through an automotive heater core with Ice Water flowing through it.
