| If you like cheap, kick ass entertainment, like shooting, loud noise, watching potatoes (among other things) fly for a hell of a long way, then this is an absolute MUST have. It only costs about $20.00 to build a basic spud gun. Of course the better the design the more it will cost. On Tonys page you can find a letter from the ATF (Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms) that states spud guns are legal. Im not going to post anything except links to the best plans I can find. Ive been shooting spud guns for about 10 years, but I never dreamed of things like these guys have done. I gotta give credit where credit is due. I have built one from the plans on Tonys site and I must say it does work very well. Thanks Tony |

Tonys Spud Gun Page The best pnuematics I've seen I am very impressed with the 'pneumatic' air cannon. Instead of using hair spray, propane, or whatever else to make an explosion for the pressure, you start with controlled pressure.Fuel studies have shown no more than about 30 psi. because when the projectile is pushed out you loose the pressure.With compressed air you can easily achieve 120 psi from most any air compressor. PVC pipe has burst limits of more than twice that in 3". That leaves an excellent safety margin. Plus you are starting the shot with MUCH greater velocity. |
