Gimli is the son of Gloin, and one of the dwarves of Erebor, of the Lonely mountain. He represents his people (the dwarves) at the council of Elrond. He pledges his axe to Frodo and volunteers to go off with the nine walkers on their quest. Gimli is proud and stuborn, and has a high mis-trust of elves. This, suprisingly, results in a very tight-knit friendship with the fellowship's elf, Legolas. Then they will re-unite the eves and dwarves and travel accross Middle-Earth together. Gimli carries many axes, which inclue 2 throwing axes, a large walking axe, a smaller version of the walking axe, and a hatchet. Gimli is a great warrior, and wear full body armour and brings many battling skills the Fellowship will need on their quest.
