Merry (or Meriadoc, to use his true name whichm is hardly ever used) is the son of the Master of Buckland. Merry has been described as 'audacious' and mischevious', and he has long been one of Frodo's friends, and he likes to get into scrapes and pull tricks, usually with his cousin, Peregrin Took, a.k.a Pippin. Like many other hobbits, eating,mushroom hunting, purlioning Farmer Maggot's vegetables are a few of Merry's favorite hobbies. He has a practical intrest in Pipe Weed, one of the Shire's most favorite exports.
