In late 1998, Boyz II Men were being seen on many different movie soundtracks. The first was on the How Stella Got Her Groove Back Soundtrack. The song was a duet with Chantee Moore. The song was named "Your Home is in My Heart" (Stella's Love Theme) and it was written by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, and Boyz II Men. The song was never released as a single in America (it should have been), but the soundtrack was still popular, it did go platinum. Boyz II Men were not only appearing on soundtracks, but on other peoples albums. Shawn appeared on Tatyana Ali's solo album, Kiss the Sky. Shawn wrote "Intro," "Interlude," "Kiss the Sky" (he sings background in that song), and "Through Life Alone" (he also sings a bit in the background). The next album the Boyz would appear on would be reminiscent of their 1993 Christmas album, Christmas Interpretations. The album they would appear on would be Brian McKnight's Christmas album, Bethlehem. The Boyz and Brian updated "Let it Snow" into "Let it Snow 1998." The song was different from the original "Let it Snow" recorded by the five in 1993. It was faster, and more....sultry. Boyz II Men then went back to soundtracks and appeared on one of the most heavily promoted albums ever. The movie soundtracks they would be on were two out of the three soundtracks for the cartoon movie, The Prince of Egypt. On the Prince of Egypt Inspirational album, "I Will Get There" was featured. On the Prince of Egypt Soundtrack album, the same song appeared in a capella. The song was written by Diane Warren. "I Will Get There" ended up being the second singles released from the movie. There was also a video for the song. The video was set in a bad neighborhood where everything always seemed gloomy until a little boy started digging into a wall and revealed a beautiful new neighborhood where everyone in the neighborhood would move too. The single would be Boyz II Men's first United States single in a year. The song did pretty well on the charts considering that Billboard had changed the way they calculate the Hot 100 Singles (getting radio airplay is more important than the sales of the single), and that the video was never played on MTV. The song got to #32, and also went gold (sold 500,000 copies). A month after the Prince of Egypt soundtracks were released, another soundtrack came out with one Boyz II Men member on it. The soundtrack was for the movie Down in the Delta. Shawn made his second solo song on the soundtrack for the movie. The song was called "Just a Little Luv" and was written by him. It was about world peace, and all of the kind of stuff. Both the movie and soundtrack were not successful though. Going a little farther from 1998, in March of 1999 another soundtrack with Boyz II Men's presence on it was released. The soundtrack was for the musical Aida. Tim Rice did all of the lyrics, while music legend, Elton John did the music. The song Boyz II Men sang was the song, "Not Me." So far, the album has peaked at #41 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.
