In 2002 we are having a series of Regional Gatherings in various places in NSW and QLD and the ACT. Places and Dates have been decided, there are some final details still left to sort out. Letters and Emails of Invitation will be sent out in February for all the Regional Gatherings.

This now means we have made contact with descendants from each of Peter and Martha's children...........a huge achievement and very exciting!!!
Whilst this is a little inconvenient, it is a positive thing for the Hornery/Honnery Family, as the more people who view this Website the more chance we have of making contact with descendants we have not yet made contact with!

A great day was had by all!!
We had 50 people attending, most of whom had not been to the Gathering last year in Sydney. Many people brought along photos and other memorabilia to share which made the day even more interesting. We had three branches of descendants from John Honery Snr and Elizabeth Reynolds in attendance. Hannah Parker nee Hornery's burial site was discovered by Morrie and added to the Tour on Sunday.

It has only recently come to our attention that there was another HONNERY family residing in Gravesend in the late 1800's and early 1900's. We did not know where this family's land was situated until recently. The land known as "Malvern" was not far from the other Honnery properties of "Bravo" and "Cumble", so all these families were living close to each other at this time.
Another great find for the Hornery/Honnery Family, some great detective work by Fay!!!
NORTH WEST NEW ENGLAND, NSW - Sunday 9th June - 'Glen Erin', Gravesend.
The weather really turned on a beautiful day for our outdoors Regional Gathering.
About 30 people decided to make the trek to Gravesend, and I am sure they would agree it was worth it. Again, most of those at the Gathering were first timers, and members of a branch previously not recorded in the file, appeared. We had three branches of descendants from William and Susannah (nee Riley) Honnery as well as some of John Onery Jnr's descendants. The tour of the Cemetery was very thorough and well researched. The headstones of William and Susannah Honnery in the Warialda Cemetery are certainly something to behold!!
NORTH QUEENSLAND - Saturday 15th June - Collinsville, QLD.
About 35 people turned out for the Cemetery Tour at Collinsville and 40 adults came to the dinner. Two branches of descendants from Henry and Mary (nee Janson) Honnery were in attendance. A great roll up for our North Queensland Hornery/Honnery Descendants
