Blaze was whelped in May of 1996. He has not been shown often due to being slow to mature.

In 1999 Blaze attended only three weekends of showing. His results were :

RWD three times

WD, BOW twice

And......

BEST OF BREED

Over "Specials" (finished Champions)

FROM THE AMERICAN BRED CLASS!

Unfortunately, soon after being awarded this Best of Breed over nationally ranked "Speicals", Blaze had an accident which will prevent him from competing in conformation shows in the future. While AKC may never award him the title of Show Champion, he will always be a champion in our hearts.

Blaze has continued to hunt with his human "dad" and has passed the AKC Junior Hunter Test three times.

March 2, 2002 Blaze completed his AKC obedience CD title. He only set paw into the ring three times - and passed each time. His high score was 191. He was "Highest Scoring Irish Setter" twice.
