Okay, it's been 2 1/2 years.  Life has happened and it is trying to beat the you-know-what out of me - that will NOT happen!

Hold On Tight To Your Dreams!

Life doesn't know it's dealing with a genetic combination of a "stubborn Swede" and a "Damn Yankee"!

I got ripped off on my "dream" house in the most royal manner - which irritates the heck out of me, but doesn't deter me. I must admit for some karmetic reason, I've had an incredible string of bad luck and I did let it start to color my world.

But then I realized that I am a most blessed person - I have a job (actually, 2 of them), I have an absolutely wonderful family - a father who supports me no matter how crazy my ideas, two sisters who are always there for me, a son and daughter that I love with all my heart and two beautiful grandchildren - "Roo" and "Pumpkin Pie".  I'm healthy, strong and basically sane (although that tends to be debated - often!)

There is still something driving me towards this dream.  I can't explain it, I can't understand it, and I can't let it go.

I finally got the wherewithall to plant some trees to help block the wind.  But it will be a few years before they can help. The wind is postively horrendous! Here is the sound of the outside wind and here is what it sounds like in my living room from the inside wind.

Now you know why I conquer it by cranking up the volume with not only Stevie Ray Vaughn, AC/DC and Lynard Skynard but anything else that can drown it out!

There are some awesome storms out here!  Especially with it being so open - for now.  Unfortunately, civilization is creeping in and destroying the land - however, that's another story....

Here are some pictures I took of one particular storm. These are taken from my bedroom window. Talk about scary! I had to take a few steps back a couple of times...the bottom pic was so bright, it nearly blinded me!

Even though there have been some ups and quite a few downs, we'll keep trying - and someday, this dream will materialize.

A "halo" sunset
