Amateur Night at Yuk Yuk's
      Niagara Falls, ON
Wednesday July 10th 2002
The act was a little fuzzy, but it went pretty smooth!
Igloo's first official amateur night since his last Hamilton gig in February 2000, and this time he debuted something completly brand new, his characters. This 5 minute act was called "3 Characters in 5 Minutes or less".

The show was M.C.'d by Stan Thompson, who remembered Igloo from Good Time Charlies in Woodstock a couple weeks before. Stan was the headliner at that gig! Because he was the new kid in town, Igloo went up first, right after Stan had done his intro bit.

Igloo was a little nervous getting up on stage, but once he was up there, things went pretty good. Constable Gerald Qualude went over very well, his booming voice took comand of the room in no time, and his song got lots of laughs. Igloo had a hard time switching to the next character, Old Man Bob, the voice just wouldn't come to him! The costume changes also needed a little work. Old Man Bob got some laughs, but it was definately the last character, Parry Soundz that went over the best. Parry was dead on, and he got the laughs. When it was done, some people were saying, "What was THAT all about?", but for those that got it, thanks!

Igloo was confidant, and his voice was clear. He made eye contact with all the audience members, and was able to talk to them like he did at his final Good Time Charlies show. (For info on why it was his last, click

The act needs a little tightening up, but Igloo was happy with the over-all response to the act. It was very much in the style of Andy Kaufman, and was very different than the other people who went up after Igloo. The two best comics after Igloo were Vito and Linda (from Buffalo). Igloo was amazed that the little old bald man from Hamilton, 2 and a half years ago, was at Niagara Falls doing his old same act. Oh, the old guy did have a new joke, it was the same one exactly that Igloo uses to explain his name!

Stan told Igloo to keep at the characters, that he was onto a good thing! He also told Igloo that the act should go over well in Toronto, so Hogtown will be on Igloo's "to-do" list!

The audience was quite receptive to Igloo, especially the front row. Igloo thanks everybody for thier support!

An extra special thanks goes to Igloo's cousin Barry Ryerson and his girlfriend, and also budding fans Vicki Brown, Joanne Minogue, and Scott Stringle for coming all the way out for Igloo's 5 minutes of fame! Vicki thought she some great pictures, except that the pictures got "neon burn in" from the Yuk Yuk's sign, and don't look that great, but what the heck, we used one anyway!

Igloo thank's you for your support!
