EXPERIENCE:
Visionary Mining Corporation
Suite 700, 900 West Hastings Street
Vancouver, B.C. V6C 1E5, Canada.
During the summer of 1999 three months were spent in the
state of Chihuahua northern Mexico, completing a dissertation
as partial requirement for obtaining my MSc. Visionary Mining
holds several property's in this region, on one of which I
completed primary phase exploration. This involved the
selection of sampling targets within the concession area, from
Landsat structural and alteration anomalies and the subsequent
rock chip sampling and mapping of these targets. Exploration
concentrated on epithermal gold and silver, in an area famous
for such deposits.
As a qualified exploration geologist I am currently looking for vacancies
in the geology sector with emphasis on the exploration industry. Last
year I successfully completed an MSc course in Mineral Exploration at the
University of Leicester, England. As part of the course I carried out three months of primary phase exploration in Chihuahua, northern Mexico.
This was supervised by Visionary Mining Corporation, a Canadian based junior exploration company, who are happy to provide references.
The time spent with them has provided me with invaluable experience in the world of mineral exploration.
The completion of the MSc course, and my time in Mexico have fuelled my
enthusiasm for a career in exploration and the processes associated with this. I am very keen to gain further experience in this particular area. However, I realise with the depressed state of the industry at the moment, I need to broaden my search for employment and therefore would enthusiastically work in any area of geology/exploration.
