Education I started school in January 1975, shortly after my fifth birthday. The school was called St. William's. I changed schools for Grade Five in 1979, moving to Padua College. I stayed at Padua until I graduated from high school in 1986. In 1987, I started my B.A. at the University of Queensland, with studies in linguistics, computer science, and psychology, which I completed in 1989. In 1990, I earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology. I took one year off my studies, then continued with my Master of Organisational Psychology degree in 1992. In 1995, I came to Finland as an exchange student to complete credit for my studies at the University of Joensuu. My Master's degree was finally complete in October 1995. |
Work Background While studying, I worked as an usher at the Queensland Performing Arts Complex. After graduation from my first degree, I worked in various part-time academic positions in the Psychology Department of the University of Queensland and the School of Applied Psychology at Griffith University. After I came to Finland, I worked in various jobs in Nokia before coming to the Nokia Research Center to work in Human Resources, doing recruitment and employee development activities. I resigned from Nokia and joined Kudos, where I designed training materials for teach the use of telecommunications products and conducted Human Resources activities for two years.
