Born and brought up in Newport, Gwent, I am one of 4 children. After doing my A-levels I left Wales to study English and French law at King's College London, University of London and the Sorbonne, Université de Paris I. I currently reside in Newport and have a border collie called Bootros.
I enjoy snooker, tennis, skiing and all watersports, in particular windsurfing.
Some of the best windsurfing I have ever had has been at Broadhaven in Pembrokeshire, Wales and at Kefalos Bay, Kos, Greece. As for inland windsurfing, Llandegfedd reservoir near Cwmbran is excellent. If all this talk of windsurfing has made you want to get out there and get some action, you might want to first check the coastal weather forecast in the box below:
I recently spent an amazing week diving in the Red Sea at Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt - if you haven't tried diving yet then you really don't know what your missing!
I love food, definitely savoury rather than sweet. Some of my favourite dishes are: sweet & sour pork, chicken in black bean sauce, Peking duck with plum sauce, chicken & cashew nuts, beef & snake beans with noodles, chinese broccoli with crisp fried garlic, saté chicken, triple mushroom omelette, garlic ginger chicken in bok choy. As a law student I spent 2 years living next to China town in the 15th arrondissement in Paris - hence the obsession with good Chinese cuisine!
One of my favourite ways of relaxing is by playing the piano. Unfortunately, I only had time to do grade 7 ABRSM before having to stop to concentrate on my A-levels. I would like to play more often than I actually do. One of my dreams is to have a house by the sea with a black Steinway grand piano in a room with a wooden floor, and a huge glass window overlooking the sea... Think I'll have to win bananalotto first though!
