From University of Texas in Austin:
"I did get accepted to the nursing program at UT and I am starting in June. I am really looking forward to it. I am so grateful for having the opportunity to work with you on my personal statement. I was so happy with the outcome and it gave me a lot of confidence about my application. The alternate entry program is fairly competitive and I think my essay really strengthened my application, giving me a competitive edge." --Terrin, Alternate Entry Masters in Nursing Program "Yes, I did get into UT. Turns out I was a first round draft pick. Thanks again for all of your wonderful help!" --Rene, Graduate Student, UT School of Information From the Liberal Arts and Science Academy, LBJ High School in Austin: "My son had a wonderful experience in Jim Fabris's English class. He felt encouraged to explore his ideas in discussions and writing assignments. Mr. Fabris is patient, kind, supportive, and student oriented. He relates well to teens." -- Mother of a LASA grad attending Johns Hopkins University "Mr. Fabris is an excellent teacher of reading and writing. He helped me make my writing more concise and cogent." --Nick, LASA student From the Liberal Arts Academy, Johnston High School in Austin: "I can honestly say that you stand out in my memory from other teachers/professors I have had (especially professors, ESPECIALLY at Columbia). You don't judge the students before you hear from them. You don't take the boys more seriously than the girls." --Email from an Liberal Arts Academy grad at Columbia University From McCallum High School: "Jim Fabris was a great help! With his guidance, I was able to write creatively in a way that was still my own, but more refined and direct. I sent the essay Jim helped me write to five colleges. And yes, they all accepted me. It makes you think about the impact your essays can have, and how important they are. Jim definitely helped me with mine." --McCallum High School grad attending Pomona College |
