I recently discovered that I am directly related to Chickamaugan Cherokee Chief Doublehead through his daughter, Cornblossom and her husband, George Jacob "Big Jake" Troxel.  I have also traced my roots to Sequoyah, who created the Cherokee alphabet.
(
Sequoyah was the son of Chief Doublehead's sister.)

I am on a quest to find as much information about the Doublehead family legacy as is possible, and also the links to my entire family tree, on both my father, and my mother's sides of the family.

What follows here are the family links between Chief Doublehead and myself.  If you know anything about the history of any of these people, please contact me or leave a note in the guestbook so others may find your information also.
