FACT'S ABOUT DISEASES
Most Americans consume too much fat, carbohydrates, protein, and too little water, vitamins, minerals and plant nutrients.  Typically we are overfed and undernourished.  Seventy-five percent of us do not obtain the recommended daily amount of vitamins or fiber.  Is it any wonder wer are malnourished in a land of abundant food?  The McGovern Select Committe on Nutrition and Human Needs suggest that "our eating habits may be as profoundly damaging to the nation's health as the widespread contagious diseases of the early part of the 20th century."  The body needs a proper balance of protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, oxygen, water and essential nutrients derived from plants in order to function efficiently.
