"Aaahh!" A dark-haired girl screamed as she fell through the roof. The ancient walls around her were made of some kind of bricks that looked like clay. Vast, detailed murals lined the walls, telling stories of a forgotten civilization. She was in the ruins of an ancient temple. Kita gasped as she realized where she was. "Oh my go-"
"Kita! Kita, are you okay!?" Someone yelled from above. She looked up through the hole in the ceiling, where a boy, about seventeen years old, was looking down at her with concern.
She waved to him to show that she wasn't injured in her fall. "Hey, Daren! Come on, you've gotta see this!"
The boy paused, looking down to the floor with apprehension. "Is it safe?"
Kita stood up, looking at the ruins around her. "Sure, it's fine. Hurry up!"
Her dark brown eyes surveyed the crumbling stone walls around her with excitement. She brushed her black, shoulder-length hair behind an ear, walking towards a closed door on the other side of the room. A loud thump behind her told her that Daren had arrived.
The seventeen-year-old scowled, brushing himself off and pushing his brown bangs out of his eyes. He stopped as he looked up, and stared in astonishment at his surroundings. "Holy...Wow. Who'd have thought there was an ancient underground ruin under your house, huh?"
"Hey look, Daren! I found the stairs!" Kita said, pointing to the old, chipped steps leading out of the temple and back into the modern world where they had come from.
"Oh, lovely. Wish you would've found 'em earlier..." Daren grumbled.
Kita grinned at him. "How old do you think this place is?"
Daren frowned. "Old." He said. "And probably dangerous..."
Kita ignored her friend as she explored deeper into the ruins. She came to a large, ornately designed door on the other side of the room. "Hey, Daren, look. There's a door. I wonder what's on the other side..." She tried to open the door, but it was sealed tight. Frowning, Kita shrugged, and turned away to explore elsewhere.

In the darkness behind the door, something stirred. Blood red eyes opened, looking toward the single door that kept it in here. Iron chains rustled as the thing moved about. It snarled to itself, chafing at the chains that binded it.
It wanted to escape. It wanted to kill, to destroy, to decimate everything in its way. Red eyes narrowed thoughtfully as voices came from outside.
I THINK SOMEONE'S COMING!
WELL, DUH. OF COURSE SOMEONE'S COMING.
It also talked to itself.

Kita blinked. "Did you just hear something?" She turned to Daren.
Daren looked up and shrugged. "No. What did it sound like?"
"It was a voice. Well, it was more in my head than out loud, I think, but it sort of sounded like they were talking in all caps..." Kita frowned.

ARE YOU THINKING WHAT I'M THINKING?
GLAMOUR?
YEP.

Kita frowned as she looked up again. "I'm sure I heard something..." She mumbled from her position in front of the sealed door.
Daren just shrugged again. "Maybe you're just hearing things, Kita." He said as he walked over to inspect the closed door for himself.
NO, SHE'S NOT.
Daren jumped, startled. "Aaah! What was that!?" He shouted.
DON'T WORRY, WE'RE JUST YOUR AVERAGE MAGICALLY SEALED AND CHAINED DEMON.
They both jumped again. "What!?"
There were sounds of chains rustling through the door as something moved inside. OH, COME ON. WE'RE NOT GOING TO HURT YOU. WHY DON'T YOU COME IN HERE AND LET US OUT. WE'VE BEEN IMPRISONED IN HERE FOR SO LONG...
Kita hesitated. "But, the door's locked..."
OH, DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. A GOOD, STRONG KICK OR TWO SHOULD TAKE CARE OF IT.
Daren and Kita glanced at each other, then shrugged and threw their weight against the door. They pushed against the door, and finally it gave way. The chamber inside was still very dark. They could faintly see a large, wolf like shape, covered in chains. LET US OUT! PLEASE!
But now Daren hesitated. "Kita, I'm not so sure about-Kita!?" The girl was already removing the chains from the beast, and before he could stop her, the beast was free. With a snarl, it lunged forward as Kita screamed. A long, scorpion-like tail shot out, striking Kita in the side. She cried out again as the creature fled the room.
