| Vernal Equinox 2004 Although this "Good Deeds Story" feature is supposed to be about something that happened to someone personally, I heard something I must forward to you. The Racine, Wisconsin school system has formally recognized the far reaching detrimental effects that bullies have on people and has initiated a program to stop bullies. Parents, all school staff, and students will be taught how to identify a bully properly and how to respond appropriately for the good of themselves and the community. This a step in the right direction and I strongly believe that we all should be protected from mental harm as well as physical harm. It would be interesting to visit Racine in say 30 years to see the long term effects. More Power to You Racine ! |
