Welcome to the page for that special class from Logansport, Indiana.
57 was a GREAT year.... remember? Even the cars that year
were spectacular. How about the '57 Chevy or the '57 Ford?
They are classics to this day, just like the classmates of that year.

This page is being provided by a group of classmates who have felt
it was time to give the LHS Class of '57 a web presence.

CLASS OF '57 MONTHLY REUNIONS

Every 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 P.M. at The Fireside. All classmates (& spouses) are invited.

For those who don't live close, if you come to the area to visit; we would love to see you again. Maybe you could plan to come to Logansport the 3rd week of the month so you could come to this sometimes. This is very informal!

Pat remarked, "Unfortunately Buzzy Iles had just passed away a few weeks
prior to our reunion. But everyone else except PHIL Berndt made it. Sure was fun."

Left to right are Larry Long (deceased 4-16-05), Dave Loner (deceased 8-26-07) and Joe Kasch who joined teammates at an American Legion Baseball Team reunion held in Logansport during the summer of 2003. The team played together beginning in 1954. Coach Bob Hunter organized the reunion attracting several members of the team sponsored by Legion Post 61. (Picture provided by Tom Castaldi 7-5-04)

Sports were a big part of high school life. We all enjoyed
going to the games and cheering the Berries to victory.
We are including a Sports Page with clippings
from various sources about some of the games.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
After nearly a quarter of a century in the U.S. Army, author Rex W. Shuey, Jr., retired as a Sergeant Major and is now living in Italy with his Italian-born wife, Maria. Shuey was born in Torrington, Wyoming and raised and educated in Indiana, graduating from Logansport High School in 1957. He entered the U.S. Army in 1962 as a Military Policeman, and served in South Korea, Germany, and Italy, in addition to the United States. He graduated from the Sergeants Major Academy in 1980, and obtained an Associate in General Studies from Central Texas College.

The 10th Annual LHS GATHERING-Reunion
will be held in 2010 at the Logansport Mall on April 24th
from 11 am until 3 pm
Open house style - no food - no cost - bring a friend or guests
Especially for all who were in the classes of LHS 1955 thru 1962,
but any LHS classmate is welcome to join in the fun.
