The Pit
The Pit contains climbs #2 through #13, this in a very unique pit like rock structure with three walls and a blocky overhang. The prime crack lines of BURSITIS and CLASSIC CORNER CRACK are so appealing that many of the local climbers first serious traditional leads are these two classic climbs. 2. DREADLOCK HOLIDAY 5.6 Start to the left of center on the fractured Southwest wall (road side) of The Pit. Climb the fractured wall, 15 ft. View a photo of Dreadlock Holiday route area.

3. RASTAFARIA 5.8
Start in the altar like area of the Southeast wall The Pit.Climb straight up the wall, 45 ft.

4. RAGGAE GOT SOLE 5.10b
Start on the left side of the Southeast wall The Pit. Climb the bulging wall without using the corner crack, 45 ft.

5. HIGHLY SELLASSIE 5.5
Start in the East corner of The Pit. Traverse left a few feet and then climb straight up, 45 ft.

6. CLASSIC CORNER CRACK 5.4* Start in the East corner 7. NO COMPASSION 5.6 Start the same as CLASSIC CORNER CRACK. Climb the right facing inside corner to a pedestal then climb the smaller right facing inside corner and the overhang above, 40 ft.

8. GUN CONTROL 5.10b**
Start halfway between the start of BURSITIS and CLASSIC CORNER CRACK on the ledge 6 feet of the ground. Climb the wall, do a hard mantel move then pull through the roof, 40 ft. This climb used to have 2 bolts on it until they were shot out by unknown persons back in 1995. View a photo of

9. BURSITIS DIRECT 5.8** Start on the Northeast wall on the ledge 15 feet off the ground. Climb directly up the face to use the roof-crack to surmount the overhang of BURSITIS, 20 ft. Variation: Climb the BURSITIS DIRECT start then move left and do the overhang crux of WICKED FINGERS. View a photo of Bursitis Direct route area.

10. BURSITIS 5.6**
Start on the Northeast wall of The Pit on the ledge 15 feet off the ground. Climb the crack system and the roof-crack in the overhang to finish up on the ledge above the overhang, 20 ft. View a photo of

11. SATISFACTION 5.10a
Start the same as BURSITIS DIRECT. Climb the wall to a point under the overhang that is about 2 feet left of the roof-crack. Without using the roof-crack surmount the overhang, 20 ft.

12. WICKED FINGERS 5.10a**
Start the same as BURSITIS. Climb the crack system to the roof and surmount the overhang at the point where the crack meets the ceiling, 20 ft.

13. ROCKFALL 5.8
Start just below the left end of the ledge from which BURSITIS starts. Climb the wall with crescent shaped left facing holds and overhang above, 20ft. A rockfall in early 1992 removed a ledge and helped to make this route.
