The COARSE COAT group is also commonly known as the "coat type" group.

This is a sort of mixture, as the three breeds that are exhibited in this group are all very different in appearance.
This group (as the name may suggest) are judged highly on the coat - the texture, density, coarseness and condition.

These three breeds can be of any colour - and colour has no bearing on the standard. Many breeders (myself included) do beleive however
that the ticked breeds seem to have the 'better'
coat - in all the desired coat qualities.
