Amour

by
Jill A. Terry
Source:
Shadows of My Soul, (2004), p.62

Who is this person that I've become

The reflection is the same when I look in the mirror
Yet something about me has changed

I'm no longer the person I'm perceived to be
Since you touched that place inside of me
You rekindled my passion for lust and life
Making my  world alive and bright

Your words touch me....my spirit does soar
It was you found the key and unlocked the door
The door to my heart the key to our past
We journey unknown through a pleasant repass

How far you will go I wait eagerly to see
You restrain the feelings you have for me

You are not mine....nor am I yours
Unquestionable desire.....unfettered amour-

Sands of Time

Shadows Of My Soul (2004) p.53

Standing alone in the doorway
That looks out to the sea
Knowing in my heart... you do all you can for me
How I wish you were the man for me

You go your way...I go mine
I'll never stop searching for the hour glass
That turns back the sands of time-
