Katie Davis Steward's poetrybook The Beginning of the Tumbling is xxxx pages long,

Jerry likes to write his poem in rhymes. About 95 percent of the poems are rhymed. The poetrybook touches mainly on romance either as loss in love, pain of loving, courting or loving a special someone, and even love triangle. .

But there are few  poems that touch on non-romantic themes such as:  911 tragedy, fairies, and war. About 90 percent of the poems deals with romantic poetry.

One poem that caught my attention is the poem "Safe Harbor" in page 25. This poems shows Jerry's excellent use of metaphor where he compares his search for love to sailing.

Another poem that caught my attention is the poem "911: A Tribute". This rhymed poem captures the tragedy of Sept 11, 2001.

Another poem that captivated me is the poem- "Butterfly". Jerry compares his romantic love to  two butterflies in flight.

About 3 poems of Jerry deal with fairies like "Dream To Live,  Live To Dream",  "Fairy" and "You".  He also wrote 2 poems about his children Dylan and Brandi in the book and the titles are "Dylan" and "Brandi" respectively.

Three poems of Jerry are philosphical such as "Sinner", "Enigma" and "Paradox". Sinner is a poem about a sinner's  relationship with God. The short poem "Enigma" touches on why is the poet born in this world. He asks the question why he was born but he does not provide the answer.  The poem "Paradox" is about the contradiction of some things based on his observations.

Jerry likes to use the word "angel" in the poem to either refer to his wife or his female beloved. He used the word "angel" several times like in the poem "Sweet Angel" the last poem in p.105, "Fantasy" in page 94, "Revival" in page 99,  "Dream To Live, Live To Dream" in p. 96,  "I Give My Heart" in p.92, "Waiting" in p.79, "A World of Love" in p.77, "Angel Lost" in  p.48, "The Bright Side" in p.58 and many more.

Jerry is very particular about rhyming. About 95 percent of his poem is rhymed with different  rhyming schemes as aabb, abab, abcb, abac, etc.

If you enjoy reading romantic novels, you will also enjoy reading Jerry's romantic poetry as I did.

(End.)
