N19181 into N177MG
While the AC was neglected by the previous owner, the local birds and bees gave it their attention and had build several nests. A couple in the tail, one or two under the engine cowling, and they did their best to leave their marks. Water had obviously been leaking in. The wall panels and other vinyl surfaces were covered by mold.
Several key pieces of the AC had been removed. Many were now missing. Wingtips, the tail cone, the co-pilot seat, wing root covers, several interior plastic panels, the forward ceiling panel, engine alternator, among the most significant missing pieces. After a number of search and rescue missions at the previous owner's basement and in the mechanic's garage, all major items were found.
The skin's surface showed minimal signs of corrosion. Most was in the form of surface corrosion located on the ship's undersides. The aircraft had not moved in five years. The wheels had sunk into the ground up to the axels. The previous owner had paid a mechanic to remove the engine in order to comply with the oil pump AD. Unfortunately, hid did not pay to have the engine controls or accessories reconnected.
Also note the broken latch on the door.
