In November 2002, we put the plane in the hangar in order to do extensive overhaul work. Some of the key things we hoped to accomplish was to rebuild the engine, prepare the skin for a paint job, replace instruments, and solve numerous squawks.
As we began work and opened up sections we would notice other things, we kept saying "Now's the time to take care of this" What we hoped would only take 2-3 months of work ended up taking over 8 months.
