Maroa Sesquicentennial yearbook Advertising order form
The 8 1/2 x 11 books will be published and ready to be picked up during the Christmas Tour of homes, December 12, 2004.
Plenty of time for Christmas gifts!
With over 300 pages of pictures, history, and stories of 150 years of living in a wonderful Illinois town, it is sure to be a collector's item for years to come. Don't miss your chance to own this piece of history.
For example, look at this ad. It was scanned from the Centennial yearbook that was published in 1954. The full page ad gives some rather unique views of what was going on in 1954.
First notice how to call El-Roa Inn to make a reservation. You call 18! How cool is that.
And No minors are allowed without parents. I would guess that this probably was not an unusual statement to make for the restaurant, but see how unique, and an interesting piece of history it becomes?
So I invite you to put some particulars about your business into your ad. Not only will it help your potential customers, but it will allow it to be a conversation item for centuries to come.
As a special for advertisers, those who submit their ads before December 1, 2003, will be included in the limited edition preview books (not completed) that will be on display at order tables at the various Sesquicentennial events scheduled throughout 2004 in Maroa, and throughout Central Illinois.
