The grizzly is reportedly still wandering around close to the next and last campground on this short but pleasant trek. The last campground is called Headwall and is at the base of Headwall Falls. Hikers apparently stay in the campground and take day hikes into the Upper Fryatt Valley. I'll have to do that another time. I'm returning to the trailhead from Brussels, a distance of 18 kms. The sun streaking through is always pleasant when hiking in the bush. |

Arriving at the Bow Valley on the return from the Lower Fryatt Valley. Approaching the sandstone cliffs from the west and looking across the Bow valley. |

The old fire road track between the trailhead and the old cable crossing. It's a pleasant walk but always a grunt at the end of a final day. |

I had met these youngsters at the campground. We said our goodbys here at the trailhead. They hiked out behind me and reported seeing a big black bear about 5 kms from the trail head.

So ends a not spectacular but pleasant packing trip. |
